Counseling

Keeping students abreast of University requirements and making decisions regarding academic curricula and financial aid, is the objective of the academic counseling in the SSS program. Students are often faced with decisions that require careful thought and planning in order to maintain acceptable G.P.A.’s and not jeopardize financial aid. SSS offers ACSK 100, a 2 credit course, to facilitate acclimation to the university by providing a structured first semester experience. This course surveys the barriers common to program eligible students. Dr. Anita Wimberley and Mrs. Jessie Broussard are available to provide counseling and assistance with academic progression.
