Eligibility
 
To become a participant of the Student Support Services Program students must meet the following requirements:
  • The student must be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident
  • The student must be enrolled or must be accepted for enrollment in a program of postsecondary education at UL Lafayette
  • Demonstrate academic need as determined by Student Support Services Program
The student must also meet one of the following criteria:
  • Person With Disabilities. Contact the office for information about disabilities that qualify for the program.

    OR

  • Meet both of the following:

    • First Generation College Student. First generation college students are defined as those whose parents or legal guardians have not completed a Bachelor's degree.

    • Low Income. Each year, the U.S. Department of Education publishes guidelines which define low income based on family size.
