| Language Arts
The SSS language arts assistance component offers guidance in developing reading, writing and research skills necessary to be successful in college level course work. Mrs. Sherry Broussard, English Specialist, is available to assist student in the computer lab in a group or on individual basis. Math Lab A critical need for many students is supportive instruction and assistance in Math. Mr. Nathan Palmer, a full time instructor and facilitator for SSS, conducts the interactive labs for students electing to take the 5-day a week math courses, and conducts Math 92 and Math 105 workshops weekly in the tutoring lab in DeClouet Hall. Mr. Palmer is available to meet with students and prescribe remediation and recommend computer lab software to reinforce concepts learned in the classroom. Tutoring lab The tutoring lab is staffed with tutors from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm each weekday to provide assistance to students in a wide variety of courses. No appointments are necessary. |
